“Poetry is delicious.”

Andrea Pierceall

After long careers as a court reporter and teacher, Andrea rediscovered her love of poetry. She recently completed her MFA in poetry at the Rainier Writing Workshop under the direction of Rick Barot. Her advisors were the poets Kevin Clark and Kelli Russell Agodon.

Born and raised in California, Andrea now lives in the mountains of Idaho surrounded by the Sawtooths and the beauty of the high desert. When she isn't writing poetry, she enjoys the outdoors all seasons of the year. She is inspired by nature, and explores it everyday with her dog by her side. Together, they wait for poems to percolate.

Andrea was selected as a resident at the Anderson Center in Red Wing, Minnesota in 2022, and has completed her first manuscript, She/Her/Widow.
